Construida cerca del lago Muskoka, en Ontario, Canadá, el arquitecto Lukasz Kos ha creado una estructura en tres niveles que se alza utilizando como base cuatro árboles. Esta vivienda de aire japonés, luminosa y respetuosa a la hora de integrarse con el entorno, se asemeja a una linterna oriental suspendida en un árbol. (Mar Feb 09 2010)

Ahora que las casas en los árboles se han convertido en una tendencia arquitectónica a tener en cuenta, aparecen proyectos tan interesantes como el de Lukasz Kos, 4TreeHouse.

La casa ha sido construida cerca del lago Muskoka, en Ontario, Canadá. Utilizando cuatro árboles como base, Kos, ha creado una estructura en tres niveles. El resultado es una vivienda de aire japonés [se asemeja a una linterna oriental colgada de un árbol], muy luminosa y ante todo, respetuosa a la hora de integrarse con el entorno.

La transparencia de los muros de la casa varía en cada nivel, proporcionando unas vistas espectaculares del bosque y el lago.

Lukasz Kos ha trabajado ya en varios proyectos árbol desde su estudio de arquitectura y diseño en Toronto, Testroom.

Lukasz Kos is the man behind this wonderful and Peaceful Green House constructing idea. He is a cofounder of Testroom, that is a Toronto-based architecture and design firm. The view is too beautiful as it is in between big and tall fir trees on Lake Muskoka, Ontario.

Letting the existing trees set the parameters of the project, the tree house was constructed around the base of four existing trees, rather than stretching between them. The project was an exercise in minimizing impact to the trees, site, and nature itself. A swing was suspended from the four trees, forming the structural foundation for the tree house. The result is a delicate balance between the slat wall enclosure and the swaying trees.

The tall, tube-like structure allows for visitors to ascend up along with the trees. There are three –yes three!– levels which vary in transparency, letting light both in as well as out.

The tall, tube-like structure helps us to go up into the house. This amazing house has three levels that are transparent and allow light to go out resulting in a bright and great view.
